What I Did On My Summer Vacation

It's been a long, long time since Mommy has written anything on here for me. She apologizes. Since it's been so long, it's kinda hard to tell you all the things I've been up to, so here are some highlights from the last 6 months.

* I have a new baby cousin named Hannah.

It was a very fun party and Noah got SPOILED. Thanks to everyone who came. I think this was the funnest birthday party yet. It helps when your child actually knows what's going on and recognizes what a present it. And, boy, did he recognize!

Monster Trucks!

On Friday night Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Mike came with me to the monster trucks. I was really excited about seeing the big monster trucks, not the little ones. There was other stuff there too. There were motorbikes that raced and jumped. Regular trucks that crashed. People even raced around on lawn mowers. It turns out that monster trucks are pretty loud and scary. I didn't really like it when they came out to do their stuff. But I still had fun and talk about it all the time. Here are some pictures.

Birthday Bash: Part 1

I got to do lots of fun things for my birthday. So many fun things in fact, it took three days to do them all! So I'll start at the beginning. On Thursday, February 14th I turned 3. That night Aunty Dionne and Uncle Ken came over for supper and cupcakes. Then even brought me a present. And Mommy and Daddy gave me some presents too.

Long Lost Christmas Pictures

Better late than never. At least that's what Mommy says.

Christmas Eve was spent with Grandma Dianne and company at her house. Then on Christmas Day Aunty Stacy, Uncle Steve, Adrianna, Grandpa Ray and Colleen came to our house. We didn't get to see Grandpa and Grandma Braun and everybody until almost New Years but it was worth the wait!

Mommy is lazy. That's the only excuse as to why she hasn't updated my blog. So get ready, because I did lots of stuff in October.

First there was Great-Grandma Newson's 80th birthday party. Here are a few pictures I took at the supper. (If you want to see Mommy's pictures, she put some on Facebook.)

After the birthday party it was time for Thanksgiving supper out in...

Mommy, Daddy and I went to a really fun park when we got there.

After the park it was time to eat. But I don't like eating so I had to find something else to do.

After eating Great Aunty Elaine brought us to a farm. It was my first time at a farm and it was really fun. My favourite part was the kittens.

I wanted to take this one home. I kept going back to pick him up over and over.

The horses were a little scary.

But I didn't mind them when they took me for a ride!

After Thanksgiving it was time for Halloween. But not before we got our first snowfall of the year!

I was really excited about the snow. The first thing I did was ask for my shovel.

There wasn't enough snow to shovel, so I ate it instead.

Now it's time for Halloween! Only I really don't like wearing weird clothes.

I got really upset when Mommy tried to dress me in my costume.

I was supposed to be a bat. Mommy tried to dress me in a Batman sweater and she had a cape and some ears for me. But I didn't want to wear it.

So I went as "Noah" instead.

I didn't mind the treat part though!

Mommy and Daddy have been pretty slack with the camera lately. So I've had to take things into my own hands...

We had an exchange student from Columbia live with us for 3 weeks this month too. His name was Esteban. I really liked him and would follow him around asking him to read books and play with me.

August...So Far

And I thought July was busy! August was SUPER busy. First I had to make an appearance at Adrianna's 3rd birthday party. She's a bit of a goof.

But there was cake...and I'm all about the cake.

She got some weird presents. It must be a girl thing.

But she did get this AWESOME (a new favourite word) bubble blower.

Mommy and Daddy managed to keep me pretty busy around the house.

And then we had to get ready for Aunty Stacy's wedding. It was kind of a big deal . I helped Mommy with the decorating.

Afterwards Adrianna and I hung around looking cute.

Mommy gave me a jelly bean to keep me quite during the ceremony.

Better late than never.

July was a pretty busy month for me. Mommy, Daddy & I moved out of Grandma's house into our own house at the beginning of July. It's really close to Adrianna's house. She comes over on Wednesday nights and we hang out. Here we are running around and playing in my front yard.

I also got to play with Ethan and Connor when they were here visiting. We played in the jumpy house and things got a little crazy.

I helped Mommy and Daddy with some things around our new house. Whenever they needed something measured, I was their guy.

And best of all, I went fishing with Grandpa. He's really impressed with my fishing abilities. I even got to use a real hook...that's how good I am. I didn't catch anything, but that's okay...

June...In Pictures

Here are some highlights from June. Daddy and I went to a garage sale and he bought me a whole bunch of animals. I really like playing with them. See...

I even line them up. And the little pig HAS to go on the big pig's back.

Mommy and Daddy took me to the Forestry Farm Zoo. I liked the birds the best.

Daddy and I are looking at a really big, pretty bird here.

They were walking around everywhere.

Then we met up with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunty Becky, Ben and Sam for some fishing. Ben let me borrow his fishing rod and Mommy showed me how to use it.

And Aunty Becky showed me how to use it.

And Ben showed me how to use it.

But then it was Ben's turn to have it back. I wasn't too happy about that.

I guess it was his rod.

But don't worry. I got my own fishing rod and now I practice in my backyard...naked.

May...In Picutres

I've been way too busy to post lately. In case you haven't noticed, it's nice outside. And why would I do anything else but go play outside. This is what I do:

I go outside whenever I can and run. And then I run some more. I love to take-off down the sidewalk and make Mommy and Daddy run after me. I'm pretty fast. They really have to run.

I love to help Grandma water her plants. I don't even care when I get all wet and muddy. Adrianna likes watering plants too. She helps whenever she comes to visit.

The only time I'm not running is when Daddy makes me sit still for pictures.

Well, I guess I do go inside sometimes. I don't mind it when there's cake involved. Ben had his birthday party inside and it was pretty fun. Did I mention there was cake?

Ahhh, cake.

I actually refuse to eat anything that doesn't have sugar in it. I find that when I refuse to eat anything, Mommy and Daddy will be forced to give me exactly what I want when I ask for it. If the only thing I ask for all day is cookies, by the end of the day I usually manage to get one.

Even though it doesn't have lots of sugar in it, I will eat cereal. I also feed cereal to my animals.

The sheep is a bit of a "pig".

I enjoy cereal so much, I help myself to it whenever I want. Mommy wasn't paying attention to me the other morning, so I got myself some breakfast.

My 2nd Birthday

Since Aunty Becky is so impatient...here is the rundown of my birthday party. On my real birthday Mommy made some cupcakes. Then Mommy, Daddy and I went to Toys'R'Us and I got a Cars backpack, a couple Thomas trains, and a Thomas movie.

Today was my BIG birthday party. Mommy stayed up really late last night getting my cake ready. Then she got up early this morning and made lots of yummy snacks for everybody to eat. Aunty Ang was the first person to arrive (she's very punctual). Then Grandma & Grandpa came over along with Anika and my friend Wyatt, Corinne and my other friend Graye, Fake Aunty Dionne & Uncle Ken, Mommy's cousin Jenn, Great-Aunty Joanne, Grandma, Aunty Crystal and Uncle Josh. Here's a picture of me helping Mommy get everything ready.

There was a lots of Cars stuff at my party. Including this really nice Lighting McQueen cake that Mommy made.

There were lots of presents for me too. I got a couple more Thomas movies and another Thomas train, a tool belt (I did NOT want to try it on), some Superman toys, Sesame Street books, and LOTS of clothes (including a Bob the Builder shirt and more Superman PJs). After the presents we got to eat cake and ice cream.

The cake was really good. (I finished Wyatt's for him after he left).

Everybody was really tired after the party so we all had naps. When I woke up Daddy and I played in the balloons. My Great-Grandma Val and Great Aunty Elaine also came over after my nap to see me. They brought me more clothes and a really cool pair of shoes. They're blue and Mommy says they're called DAWGS. I didn't like them though and won't try them on.

It was a really good party. My other friend Ava couldn't make it but she came over tonight after supper to play with me. I showed her my trains and played BOO! with her. She was lots of fun.

It was my Daddy's birthday on Friday. We went out to Grandma & Grandpa's for supper and cake (Mommy cooked). It was lots of fun. I even made him a card.

I've only known my Daddy for a few years but he's the greatest guy I've ever met. (Grandpa is a close second).

He was the first person who ever held me.

He gives me lots of baths.

He showed me how fun toys are.

Then he showed me that tools are WAY more fun.

He lets me eat in front of the T.V.

Sometimes he dresses me funny. But I don't mind.

He'll help me do things I really want to do.

And he's the best guy to lay down and cuddle with.

So Happy Birthday Daddy!! Thanks for sharing your cake.

Don't ever stop being the funny guy you (think) you are.

My Cousin

My cousin Ben and I had a really good time at Christmas. I miss him now that Christmas is over and I ask for him all the time. My Mommy made a DVD for me with lots of video of me and Ben playing. I watch it everyday.

When we get together we like to play with our cars. But sometimes Ben stops playing and comes over to hug me for awhile. I guess that's just what cousins do.

Mommy's Note: Jonthan and I got Noah a Car for Christmas. We had to return it. Partly because the door wouldn't close, mostly because he got soooo much stuff this year we simply didn't have room for it. So I'm not going to put up any pictures of Noah and his car. But here's one where he was helping Jonathan put it together. He was really excited. Now I'm going to cry.

Here's some pictures of me. If you really want to know what I've been up to go check out Mommy's blog. It hasn't been good. I've been a pretty difficult boy lately. Here are some pictures showing my non-difficult side.

Every morning Grandma makes me a fruit smoothie drink before she goes to work. I have it for breakfast. It's the only way I'll eat fruit. And I LOVE them.

Now that we have all this snow I can go for sleigh rides. They're really fun. I just sit back and let Mommy do all the work. I wear my toque now and my boots but I still won't wear those mitts.

Mommy and Daddy bought me a big-boy toddler bed. Don't be fooled by the picture. This was the only day I actually liked it. (see Mommy's blog )

Ben came to visit me a couple weeks ago. This was the first visit we've had where we got along and played really nice. Ben decided he wouldn't try to hug me all the time and I decided I'd let him play with me.

Grandma gave each of us these cool toy cars. Mine was a yellow truck and Ben's was a red race car. We sat at the window and played cars for a long time. Ben showed me how to race up the glass.

He won.

Then Ben left and now I have to play all by myself.

CANDY!

Yesterday was a weird day. After supper Mommy and Daddy put this dumb costume on me again. They know I don't like it. I tried to scream and fight but then Daddy gave me Smarties. I was so busy enjoying the Smarties I didn't realize that Mommy had got the whole costume on me. I was kinda upset. But then I got to go in the car and I got to bring my candy bucket with me. A candy bucket is something Grandma gave me a few days ago. She showed me how to bring it to people and they'll put candy in it. I like my candy bucket. I didn't like that stupid costume.

First we stopped to get Aunty Ang. Then we stopped to see fake Aunty Dionne. Neither of them gave me candy. Then we went out to Grandma & Grandpa's. Grandma had little packages with chips in them. I really like chips. And she had chocolate. She gave me LOTS of chips and chocolate. And nobody minded when I stole candy from the box and put it in my bucket. They seemed to be too distracted by my costume.

Next we did something really weird. Grandpa, Mommy, Daddy and Aunty Ang took me outside where we walked over to the neighbour's houses and knocked on the doors. All these strangers would come to the door and look at me. It was kinda scary. But then they gave me candy too!! My bucket was so full. This one lady even gave me a ball! By the last house I'd kinda gotten the hang of this whole thing. I guess if you dress up funny and have a candy bucket it's all right to go knock on strangers doors and take candy from them.

After going to strangers houses we went to Grandma & Grandpa's church. There were lots of kids there running around. Some of them were wearing costumes too. And Aunty Susan was there to give me more candy. I was shy for a bit but then I ran around like the rest of the kids. I ate more Smarties and ran up and down a ramp. I really didn't mind my costume any more. How could I not like something that got me this much candy!

We got back into our car and on the way home Aunty Ang and I had a candy fight in the back seat. I threw all the candy from my bucket at her! It was so much fun! I felt all tingly and hyper.

When we got home I played with Grandma Dianne and Sara a bit. Then they took my costume off and I wasn't allowed to have any more candy. Mommy, Daddy and I sat on the couch and watched a new movie Over The Hedge. It's not as good as Madagascar, but I'll watch it again.

It turned out to be a pretty good night. I wonder if I'll get to do it again tonight?

My Mommy and Aunty Becky sure think alike. Cause Mommy and Daddy brought me outside the other day to take pictures just like Ben and Sam's Mommy and Daddy did. Only we didn't go to a park or field or anything. We just played in all the leaves in Grandma's backyard. It was lots of fun. I would run and jump into the leaves over and over.
